Washington, D.C., 1898. 2 pieces: Issued 2-page correspondence on Treasury Department, Office of the Secretary letterhead, S/N 47793, addressed to A. E. Denny of Northfield, Vermont, referring to his subscription of $2,500 to the 3% loan "authorized by the act of June 13, 1898" and to the deposit of 2%. The letter goes on to state that $500, 20% of the amount of subscription, is owed within 10 days of receipt of the notice; also included is a used envelope mailed from the Treasury Department, and with Washington, D.C. handstamp. Both are in Fine condition. (2)
