1830-1850's. Proof. 8 different proofs printed on india paper and mounted on manila cards with plate numbers on vignettes and cards. Printers include RWH&E (3), TC&Co. (4) and BC&Co.(1). All are medium sized vignettes between 1.5 and 3 inches each. One is in Roman Numerals and the rest are numerals. Vignettes include Native American Indian with train; Woman sitting staring out to sea; Patriotic allegorical woman with eagle and shield and the balance with allegorical figures. All vignettes in VF to choice condition. All are unique in archive. Rare group of "3" and "III" vignettes.
