ca.1830-40's. 2 different LDP vignettes printed on india paper on large card. Both have allegorical woman holding scales and sword sitting on the number "2". The difference in the two engravings is that one of the vignettes has no additional background engraving on either side. This engraving also has Micro-engraving of "UBS&H" and :D.U.&Co", which are visible at the bottom of the cornucopia. The other vignette has background engravings of a dock scene with bales of cotton and sailing ship on the left and plants and wheat on the right. This vignette has "UBS&H" micro-engraved on the left bottom but it was evidently engraved over the original clear vignette with no ship or wheat. Unique in this format in archive. Choice Unc. Used on obsolete banknotes. UBS&H; DU&C.
