ca.1860's-1870's. 2 different proof vignettes of allegorical "Liberty". One is standing holding American flag in right hand with her left hand out holding part of the flag. A pencil sketch of a flag pole with the outline of a flag has been drawn in by hand so that it would appear that she is holding 2 flags. The second liberty is seated with eagle and shield. Both are in choice condition. The vignettes measure 2 by 3.5 inches in size. Both are printed on india paper mounted to manila card. Titles include "Republic" with one untitled. Please inspect. Rare and attractive vignettes with original artwork. NBNC.
