1840-1860's. Proof. 8 different Large Die Proofs (LDP's) or cut down LDP vignettes printed on india paper. Mostly used on obsolete banknotes, checks, drafts or stock certificates. Images and titles include "The Smithy" with blacksmith making horse shoe; "Ship Yard" with men making parts of ship; "Saw Mill" with men sawing logs; Blacksmiths hammering iron on anvil and stone worker carving columns in stone. Printers include CBNCo.; NBNCo. and unattributed. All vignettes in VF to XF condition with minor corner folds or bends far away from vignettes.
