1830-50's. 15 different cameo counterfoils used on bill of exchanges, checks, drafts and possibly obsolete banknotes. All are printed on India paper. 1) Large die proof, bue. Roman soldier with helmet facing right with "One" on top and bottom and plate number. 2) Small die proof, blue. Man with beard facing right. (Baldwin, Spencer & Co. 3) Cut down to margin proof. 4)to15) Proofs mounted on manila envelopes with allegorical heads or helmeted Roman soldiers (6) and on manila card that include busts of 3 different Benjamin Franklins and 2 helmeted Roman soldiers. One is denominated "5" and 2 others have "One" on top and bottom (6). Unique group of cameos proofs.
