Lot of 22 chromolithograph Christmas postcards, primarily used and postally cancelled, bearing 1¢ green Washington stamps with legible postmarks including New York, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania, dated 1907 to 1913. Publishers include a mix of American and European printers, with numerous embossed designs and divided-back issues. Subjects depicted include robin perched on holly branch; embossed bell and wreath motifs; winter village scenes with snow-covered houses; holly-framed landscape vignettes; embossed white-on-white holiday designs; twin bell wreath compositions; large gold bell with holly; evergreen branch framing church scene; bells tied with ribbon and mistletoe; architectural winter scenes with illuminated church; cherubs with bells; child building snowman; Santa with children in snowy landscape; holly and berry decorative panels; New Year clock motif with floral border; double bell compositions with ribbon; sleigh and winter landscape imagery; and additional floral and holiday greeting designs. The group reflects early 20th-century Christmas postcard production emphasizing decorative motifs, embossed textures, and winter pastoral themes alongside traditional holiday symbolism. Condition ranges from Good to Very Fine overall, with some cards showing corner wear, light creasing, or minor surface wear consistent with handling and postal use. The embossed white-on-white example, twin bell wreath designs, and snowman scene are the strongest individual pieces in the grouping. (22). Sold ñAS ISî no returns accepted.
