Found on drafts, checks, obsolete and foreign banknotes and security printed documents. 1860-1890's. 13 different dog related vignettes printed on india paper and mounted on manila card with plate numbers at top of the card. Titled vignettes include "The Safe Guard"; "Fidella"; "The Watch Dog"; "A.E.Co.Dog" (American Express); and, "Deer Hound". The rest are untitled. Includes 2 different versions of the same dog sitting, but with different back ground. One of the vignettes is of a dog saving a child from drowning. Overall, XF to Choice condition. Printers include ABNC, CBNC and possibly others. Scarce group of dogs. ABNC, CBNC.
