1840-1850's. 8 different vignettes of allegorical figures and cherubs with the numeral "5" used on obsolete banknotes and foreign banknotes. Printers not attributed but are by ABNCo. predecessor printing firms. All are printed on india paper and mounted on manila card with plate numbers at top of the card and on the vignette. All are cut down large die proofs. Some have light foxing or glue staining but overall a choice group. Please inspect. Rare group of early numeral vignettes. All are unique in archive.
