1860-1870's. Proof. 6 different proof animal vignettes used on obsolete banknotes and miscellaneous security printed items. All are printed on india paper and are not mounted. Images include portraits of cattle, pigs, horses and a dog with family. Titles include "After Milking"; "Cow and Calf"; "Killing Hogs"; "The River Side" and "Co-Bosh". Printers include NBNCo. and ABNCo.. All are LDP's or cut down large die proofs. Choice group. Please inspect. Rare group of early vignettes. Almost are unique in archive or represented by only 2 or 3 examples. ABN, NBN.
