1850-1860's. Proof. 12 different proof steamboat, train and scenic vignettes. Images include steam locomotives, steamboats, panoramic scenes and miscellaneous topics. Most were used on obsolete banknotes, stocks, bonds, checks, and security printed documents. The vignettes range from 2 to 4 inches in size. Printers include NBNCo. and predecessor companies. Titles include "Stolkholm" and "City of Providence". All are printed on india paper. All are cut down large die proofs. Choice group. Please inspect.
