Used on Obsolete Banknotes, stocks and bonds. ca.1840's-1850's. 6 different vignettes (one is a compound proof of 2 vignettes on one plate) of miners working in mines, coal mining and coal train used on obsolete banknotes, stocks, bonds, checks and security printed documents. The vignettes range from 2 to 4 inches in size. All are printed on india paper and mounted on manila cards. Printers include TCC; RWHE; BCC and unattributed. All are in VG to choice condition. Please inspect. Extremely attractive and rare group of early mining vignettes found on obsolete banknotes.
