Washington D.C., 1992 and 2006. Lot of 3 Commemorative Coin sets, Includes: 1992, Columbus Quincentenary Coins: Proof Half Dollar (clad) & Silver Dollar. Silver dollar has Columbus by a globe with ships in background on obverse and split image of Santa Maria and U.S. Space Shuttle Discovery on reverse, Coin is 90% Silver, Half Dollar has Columbus landing in New World on obverse and the Nina Pinta and Santa Maria on reverse, Coin is 92% Copper & 8% Nickel; and, 2006, Benjamin Franklin Commemorative Proof Silver Dollar featuring Franklin's famous kite experiment on obverse and Franklin's "Join" or "Die" political cartoon published in the Pennsylvania Gazette on May 9, 1954 on reverse, Coin is 90% silver. All coins come in original packaging and include a certificate of authenticity. Coins are in Superb proof condition with a total of 53.46 grams of .999 silver with a silver melt of over $60.
