1850-1870's. Proof. Numeral "1" counters and 2 different compound proof counters with either 2 or 3 vignettes printed primarily by National Banknote Co. All are either large die proofs or cut down large die proofs on india paper. Most have been used in some variation on either U.S. or foreign banknotes, stock certificates, bonds and documents. All have plate numbers and some have micro printing of the NBNC imprint at bottom. All have different designs or color variations. A few of the vignettes might be from predecessor printing companies and used on Obsolete banknotes. 25 proofs in this lot. NBN. Mostly Choice condition.
