U.S.A., 1841. Seated Liberty $1 Silver Dollar featuring Liberty seated with shield and staff on the obverse and a heraldic eagle reverse. The shield looks like it may have been tooled, Struck in .900 fine silver, weighing 26.73 grams with an approximate 38 mm diameter and an actual silver weight (ASW) of 24.06 grams (0.7734 troy oz). Seated Liberty Dollars were produced from 1840 to 1873 and represent the early U.S. silver dollar series following the Gobrecht design.
