Washington, D.C., Lot of 4 I/C Check payments, Includes 1918. $1.06 I/C Interest Payment due from a First Liberty Loan Converted 4.25% Bond, S/N 48713, Black print with Department of the Treasury seal at left, The First Liberty Bond Act, also known as the Liberty Loan Act of 1917, was passed by Congress on April 24, 1917, 18 days after the United States declared war on Germany. The act authorized the U.S. Treasury to sell $5 billion in bonds to fund the war effort; 1920. $42.50 I/C Interest Payment due from a Third Liberty Loan 4 1/4% Bond, S/N 1452553, Black print with green underprint, Department of the Treasury seal at left, POCs, Signature at bottom right near pencil annotations. The Third Liberty Loan Act was passed by Congress on April 4, 1918 as part of the U.S. government's effort to sell Liberty Bonds to help fund World War I; 1919. $2.02 I/C Interest Payment due from a Fourth Liberty Loan 4 1/4% Bond, S/N 32675, Black print, Department of the Treasury seal at left, POCs, Signatures at bottom, Faint handstamps and signature on back. The Fourth Liberty Bond Act was passed by Congress on July 9, 1918, and authorized the U.S. Treasury to increase the amount of loans that could be made to foreign governments to $7 billion; and, 1920. $23.75 I/C Interest Payment due from a Victory Liberty Loan 4 3/4% Note, S/N 481,677, Black print on off blue-green paper, Department of the Treasury seal at left, POCs at left, Signature at bottom right. The Victory Liberty Loan was a federal bond issued during World War I. Condition ranges from Choice VF to AU condition with light tape remnants on the back of all 4, possibly from previous mounting, Outstanding collection of these rarely seen Liberty Loan bond related fiscal documents.
