An eclectic lot including: Liverpool, Texas, Business Men’s Association scrip, 25 cents and $1.00 notes redeemable in merchandise, circa 1930s; Auburn, NY, 1880s, pair of unissued checks from Hanover National Bank with ornate orange protectors; Specimen $10 design note by American Bank Note Company, undated; La Fortuna amusement admission scrip for 400 chips, circa 20th century; Seattle, WA, Emergency Currency Trade Exchange 25 cents, 1933; Carmel-by-the-Sea, California, 1933 Depression scrip, $1.00; Gold Gulch, San Diego, CA, 1935 amusement scrip, $1.00; and four De La Rue Giori S.A. “One Pass” and “Completa” Shakespeare vignette test notes, circa 1970s–80s. A fascinating mix of Depression scrip, amusement ephemera, unissued checks, and security printer test notes, illustrating the diversity of non-banknote financial and advertising paper issues across the 19th and 20th centuries. Condition varies from VF to Uncirculated, most well-preserved. (11)
