1830-40's. $5. 1) Woman sitting on numeral '5' with "V" counters on left and right flanked by 2 orther allegorical women. Bottom of vignette has "Drawn & Engraved by Freeman Rawdon". Plate number V-39897. 2) Woman seated holding globe with Mercury on right, lions at her feet and allegorical figures on left. Lower left has "Drawn & Engraved by George W. Hatch". Plate number V-40571. Mixed condition due to foxing and light glue stains. Unique in archive. Please inspect.
