Utah, 1907, 6% 1st Mortgage Gold Coupon Bond, Locomotive passing telephone pole, POC, coupons removed, gold foil seal, VF condition, S/N 815, . William H. Eccles, a key member of the influential Eccles industrial family, was a prominent lumberman and railroad executive whose interests helped shape the economic development of the Pacific Northwest. Best known for his leadership as President of the Mount Hood Railroad Company, he played a major role in expanding regional timber and transportation networks. Though his own work centered on lumber and railroads, the broader Eccles family was deeply involved in the Western sugar industry, most notably through his brother David Eccles, a founder of the Amalgamated Sugar Company.
