Lot of 4 items, Includes: American Express Co. bound receipt/check book, Wells Fargo & Co. travelers money order proofs, Republic Bank Note Co. specimen label, and Parsons Paper Co. proof. The American Express Co. booklet includes multiple unused and partially used freight receipt/draft forms, with interior pages showing printed insurance terms and manuscript entries dated 1866, referencing shipments and delivery receipts. Also included are Wells Fargo & Co. and Foreign Correspondents travelers money order proofs dated April 1908 with ñCancelledî overprints and archival markings, along with a Republic Bank Note Co., Pittsburgh specimen engraving label and a Parsons Paper Co., Holyoke, Mass. proof note, both cancelled and marked ñDestroyedî in 1969. Items represent early express company operations and later security printing ephemera. Conditions range from Good to Fine overall with handling, toning, and archival markings. (4).
