Washington, D.C., October 24, 1918, $50. Fourth Liberty Loan "Short" Gold Bond of 1933-1938, All "short" complete Liberty Loan Bonds are quite rare, as most were exchanged to a longer series of payments. This is the centerpiece of any serious collector of either U.S. Treasury Bonds or Large Size Type notes. Brown ink on Black and White face. Brown ink reverse. Name of original owner? signed on reverse. Jefferson vignette top center. Brown U.S. Treasury Seal. Embossed U.S. Treasury Seal on front, Brown inked "Screaming Eagle" reverse. Expect some spirited bidding on this piece of American Financial History. Printed by the BEP. (From the John E. Herzog Collection).
