DE. 1961. Model, Specimen. Unique production file for stock certificates. 2 different certificates. All with vignette of allegorical women flanking "WB" logo. 1) Unique approval model or mockup. 100 shs, Common Stock, green. Model unfolds with proof vignette on one side and model of back on the other side. 2) Production department specimen. 100 shs, Common Stock, light blue. Numerous notations for requested alterations and changes. 3) Photo-copy proofs of stock certificates, front, back and a different variation of the vignette. In 1923, Warner Bros. Pictures, Inc. was formally incorporated. At the urging of Sam Warner, the company committed to develop Vitaphone and in 1926 began making films with music and effects tracks. When this proved popular, they took the next step and offered, in October 1927 a picture with dialogue, The Jazz Singer, starring Al Jolson. The movie was sensation, launching the era of "taking pictures" and banishing silent movies. Warner borthers is probably best known for bringing us Bugs Bunny and Daffy Duck.
