Hackensack, NJ. Lot of 3 Notes, Includes $1, $2, & $5, 1833, Wait 710, 713, & 719, R-4. Three issued notes, all printed in black with blank reverses. The Washington Banking Co. was incorporated in 1824 as the Weehawken Banking Co. The bank moved to Hackensack and became the Washington Banking Co. in 1825. It closed in 1833. The $1 note(Wait 710); $2 note(Wait 713); $5 note(Wait 719) all have Samson and the lion vignette and a small oval Washington portrait vignette. (3)
