September 10, 1861, 6 1/4 cent, Issued obsolete scrip or banknote, S/N 238, paper with light blue ruled lines, PMG graded Very Fine 25, intact with no edge problems and 3 large and one ample margin, rare note in any condition. No sale records can be found for the 6 1/4 cent note. Spink-Christies sold 3 higher denominations in 1996 for $900+. This may be the only one of this variety available. From a recent Mid-West estate find.
