Highlights include 6 Imprinted revenue drafts and check including RN- B, C, G, and X examples; an 1859, Mohawk Valley Bank, printed by D& H; an 1860s, U.S. Army Allotment pay check, in green and black; an 1884, MA. Asylum for the Chronic Insane with Invoice; Other examples include checks from Sather & Co. Bankers (San Francisco), Canal National Bank (Portland, Maine), Geo. Washington Bank (New York), People’s National Bank (Rock Island, Illinois), Bullion and Exchange Bank (Carson City, Nevada), and Climax Manufacturing Co. (Corry, Pennsylvania) among others. Many feature ornate designs, imprinted revenue stamps, vignettes of allegorical figures, or early industrial scenes. Conditions range from Fine to XF or better. (40+).
