China, Lot of 2 notes, includes 2 Chiao = 20 cents, P-S3900J S/M#K31.5-10, Orange-brown, old steam train in middle, back green, No serial numbers, Uncirculated to CU with large even margins, sharp corners and bright colors; and 5 Chiao = 50 cents, P-S3900K S/M#K31.5-11, Issued, yellow-orange with train at left and village at right, back dark blue, S/N 077829, Choice to Gem Uncirculated with large even margins and bright fresh appearance. Both rare and very attractive. The 20 cent note is cataloged at $1250 in XF and the 50 cent note is cataloged at $675 in XF. First time offered by our firm. A similar 50 cent note last sold in Memphis in 2011 for $800. A rare opportunity to obtain 2 rare notes from this difficult military issue.
